Tech United has two teams: one team competes with autonomous soccer robots in the Middle Size League of RoboCup and the other team participates with autonomous service robots in the @Home league. Both teams became World Champion (again) in 2019.
Our goal is to build a community that drives the implementation of Artificial Intelligence. We focus on AI education, taking students from theory to practice, and better connecting business, research and students. Among other things we organize an AI E-sports competition, an education track and AI Connect events.
University Racing Eindhoven
URE is building a high-tech revolutionary electric Formula-style race car to compete in the annual Formula Student competition. In 2019 they also competed with the first autonomous electric race car of the Benelux.

Solar Team Eindhoven
Solar Team Eindhoven is working on the sustainable mobility of the future and will participate in the 2019 World Solar Challenge in Australia with their solar car Stella Era. This family car can also share energy and park itself autonomously in the sun to charge.

The “Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe” (CLAIRE) seeks to strengthen European excellence in AI research and innovation. The network forms a pan-European Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe. Its member groups and organisations are committed to working together towards realising the vision of CLAIRE: European excellence across all of AI, for all of Europe, with a human-centred focus. Robert-Jan Smits, our TU/e president of the Executive Board is member of the International Advisory Board of CLAIRE.
The Dutch AI Coalition (NL AIC) is a public-private partnership in which government, industry, educational and research institutions and civil society organizations work together. The goal of the coalition is to stimulate, support and where necessary organize the Dutch activities in AI. It wants to put the Netherlands in a vanguard position in the field of knowledge and application of AI for prosperity and welfare. The NL AIC has to function as the catalyst for AI applications in our country. More information can be found on nlaic.com.
